Who am I?
I am a versatile artist working as a developer and game designer for BeamXR in Berlin.
Aside from my studies I work as a tutor and commission artist. A few of my written works and comics have been published and exhibited and I always have something big going on.
When I am not creating, I might be found taking a walk in the park, embroidering, practicing the piano or studying languages (programming or real life, I’m not picky!)
Online, I am known as singingstranger. I use the name Joshua socially and as an artist, and you may find many works under my birth name.
What am I doing with my work?
This webpage is primarily there for business and professional endeavours. But that does not exclude me uploading some passion projects as well.
I try to focus my artistic energies on telling a story. Art, as I understand it, is an inherently political medium where I feel obligated to consider what message I am conveying with my work. I strive to use this opportunity I have to share knowledge and ideas not only to tell my stories but also amplify the voices of those who are too rarely heard. Primary themes of my art are Judaism, relationships, gender and sexuality, and philosophy.
The biggest compliment to me is when someone says that my work comforted them.
